We moved from Tamil Nadu in 2019. The first thing we missed was not the language — it was the taste of home.

Adhirasam pressed in our grandmother's hands. The smell of mysore pak coming off the iron kadai on Pongal morning. Garlic mixture in a steel dabba that sat on the kitchen counter all week, disappearing fistful by fistful.

We started The Heritage Sweets in our home kitchen to make those things — properly, with the oils and patience they deserve — for the families around Mississauga who, like us, miss home a little.
